Rental Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

1. YOUR CONTRACT WITH JUMBOCRUISER LTD. t/a STINGRAY RV

By using the hire vehicle you are accepting these terms and conditions. Please read this agreement carefully. If there is anything you do not understand or do not agree with, please ask.

2. BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT

An initial payment of 25% is required to confirm the booking and enters you into a binding contract for the hire. The balance of the hire money is payable four weeks prior to the start date of your hire, or at the time of booking if you book less than four weeks from the start date of your hire. The vehicle you request is not allocated to you and our booking system cannot complete this operation until we have received your 25% deposit. Failure to pay the initial payment within seven working days of receipt of the invoice may mean that your booking is entirely cancelled and that the vehicle will be allocated to another client. Failure to pay the final payment within seven working days of the date of the final invoice will mean that you have effectively cancelled the booking. Your initial payment will be retained unless we are able to rent the vehicle allocated to you for the same or a concurrent event, in which case your initial payment will be refunded in full.

In addition, a deposit of 500 may be payable for any loss or damage to the Motorhome four weeks prior to the hire. This deposit is payable in full as a condition of hire. Cleared funds are to be with us prior to commencement of the hire. THIS IS A CONDITION OF THE HIRE AND IS INSISTED UPON BY OUR INSURERS SO THAT THE VEHICLE IS INSURED WHILST ON HIRE. This deposit will be refunded in full after the hire period is complete, less any sum that will be deducted to pay for damage to the vehicle, either to the exterior or interior. Any excess costs caused by damage or use of generator fuel over and above the 500 deposit will be charged separately.

Where you choose to pay by credit card we reserve the right to make a charge of 2.5% in respect of each payment by credit card. There is no charge for debit cards. Having said this, we rarely charge 2.5% for deposits.

3. CANCELLATIONS

All cancellations must be notified in writing, but please call immediately to inform us as this will improve the chances of rehiring the motorhome. If notification of your cancellation is received more than four weeks before the start date of your hire you will be refunded in full. If notification of your cancellation is received less than four weeks before the start date of your hire, your payment will be retained unless we can rehire the motorhome at full price. We will do all we can to rehire the motorhome and if we are able to do so, you will be refunded up to a maximum of your total hire.

4. AVAILABILITY

Occasionally motorhomes are not available as agreed, which is almost always due to events beyond the motorhome operator's control (see below). If your booking has to be cancelled, the motorhome operator will offer you the choice of an alternative motorhome or, if no suitable replacement is available, provide a full refund of all monies you have paid for your booking.

5. EVENTS BEYOND THE OPERATORS CONTROL

Unfortunately, events beyond the motorhome operator's control occasionally affect bookings. When reference is made to such events in these Conditions of Hire, this means any event(s) or circumstance(s) that the motorhome Operator could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.

The motorhome Operator can't accept responsibility or pay any compensation, costs or expenses where the performance of your contract with the motorhome Operator is prevented or affected, or you otherwise suffer any loss or damage as a result of events beyond the motorhome Operator's control. This includes any delays, cancellations to and/or restrictions to your hire to which you may be subject.

Vehicles are fitted with television reception equipment of various types, depending on the specifications of individual motorhomes. However reception conditions do vary around the UK and also in the rest of Europe, so it cannot be guaranteed that particular services or channels will be available, although every effort will be made to align the aerial/dish to obtain the best possible reception. To ensure entertainment is available, it is worth the hirer providing their own DVDs or other media.

6. SUITABLE PERSONS

We have the right to refuse to hand over a motorhome to any person who, in the reasonable opinion of the motorhome Operator as applicable, is not suitable to take charge. In such cases, no refund of the hire charge will be made by the Operator.

7. PETS

The acceptance of pets in the motorhome will be by special agreement with the Operator. Any special cleaning required at the end of the hire will be charged against the 500 deposit, if paid, or charged separately.

8. SMOKING

There is a NO smoking policy in our motorhomes. If any person smokes then a sum will be deducted from the 500 deposit to pay for deep cleaning of the motorhome, or invoiced separately if a deposit wasnt paid.

9. Bed Linen, Towels, Toilet and Water Usage.

Bed linen, pillows and towels are provided with the motorhome as standard. If you specifically require more of these items or are travelling from abroad please enquire about availability prior to departure.

For use of the toilets, please note that nothing other than natural human waste and toilet paper should be put in the toilets, otherwise they will become blocked and unusable. Please do not attempt to flush wipes or other manufactured products or items. A waste bin is provided for these. Blockages are costly and you will incur additional charges to resolve the problems.

Motorhomes are supplied with the water tank full. Please note that the tank will not be refilled during the hire, unless it is at a location where there is on-site support (this will be charged for at a different rate). Usage of the on-board water supply is very different to home use, where long showers might be taken. To avoid the water supply being totally depleted, the usage should be limited to short showers and controlled monitoring.

You will have the vehicle for the rental period shown in the agreement.
